She told us that she had shared her vacation destination with her science teacher in Naples and he remarked that he'd never heard of Benson (surprise!). Well now she can share all the great things she got to do in Cochise County. She even got to ride a camel!
Cyenna's biggest joy is horseback riding so Opa took her to Tombstone Monument Ranch to ride like a real cowboy in the desert. She loved it so much, they had to go again.
I think Artur had the most fun!
Taking the shuttle through Sabino Canyon in Tucson was a lot of fun because Uncle Karl got to come along. We rode up to the top and then Opa, Karl and Cyenna hiked up to one of the peaks.
This trip, I took her to visit Holy Trinity Monastery where her great grandparent are buried. She enjoyed the visit and we lit two candles in the chapel, one for Monika's husband who just passed away and one for our family.
My favorite trip was Ramsey Canyon, east of Sierra Vista. We saw deer, humming birds and even a rattler. Cyenna made up climb all the way up to the overlook which made both of us, Opa and Oma, huff and puff. It was a beautiful day and we laughed so much.
On the last day, Cyenna and I drove to the Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson. It was exceptional with the cacti, animals, birds. We also visited Old Tucson where "Little House on the Prairie" was filmed. She got to ride an old fashioned car and we rode the carousel.
I'm really going to miss her!!
